Hmmm....8 iron or 7 iron?
The kitchen design process begins with our designer listening to your needs and ideas. Our designer will ask a lot of questions to determine the direction to take with your design. The kitchen showroom is a good place to meet initially so you can view the different shapes, colors and designs that cabinets come in. For more intensive project an initial or subsequent meeting may happen at your home or jobsite.
We will discuss budget and timing for the project. If you have houseplans available it is very helpful to bring those with you. Otherwise you can bring a rough sketch of the space with dimensions of the size and the location of key things like windows and doors. Photos of the area can be helpful if it is a remodel.
At this point it is very helpful to have magazine clippings or pictures of features and accessories that have caught your eye. Let us know any type of design features that you would like to have included in the kitchen.
Please remember that there is no such thing as a 'standard' refrigerator. Other appliance can vary in size and cabinet requirements. We will need dimensions and/or Model numbers of all major appliances.
With your design consultation, look though magazines and books to help get ideas on your new kitchen. With a pad of paper and all of your materials (magazines, books and other product research) start playing with different design options. Now is the time to experiment with special features you have been thinking about. What about adding a shelf those those cookbooks, and island with seating and some extra storage and maybe a pantry also. Make a folder of all your wants using magazine and brochure photos or your own ideas.
