Hello!

I'm Tim Lord, an outside salesman at Lapointe Lumber Co. I'd like to tell you a few things about me, and how I like to conduct business.

I'm a fourth generation member of the family business.  Like the family members before me, I believe in hard work.  My grandfather Normand Lapointe always has said 'Hard work never killed anyone, but it sure has scared a lot of people to death!'

I like to earn business by working hard, following through with my word and creating friendships that will last a lifetime.

Hello!

My name is Ed DesJardins and I am one of the outside salesmen here at Lapointe Lumber.

I started as a tradesman apprentice in 1987 at a remodeling company that focused on siding, windows, and roofing. I became a foreman and ran crews for a few years before finally starting my own home improvement business in 1992.

After a successful run of 11 years I decided to take a shot at the retail end of the business. I spent three years with a mid sized building materials dealer learning the ins and outs of the lumber business before coming to work for Lapointe Lumber in May of 2003.

All About Ted

My building materials career began in 1975, when I was hired as a driver in a Limestone, Maine lumberyard.  I learned then how important it is to serve the needs of my customers--from being on time, to delivering the product the customer wants, to understanding they total project.

After three years I worked my way into a sales position, where I stayed for seven years, then into a management position for nine years.

However, I discovered that my true passion was in sales, working with project-oriented builders.  I also learned that the most rewarding aspect of my career is that my customers aren't just my clients, they are my friends.  I believe I achieve that friendship by consistent pricing, honesty, and respect for the customer's needs.  I moved back into sales, and have stayed there happily for the last sixteen years.
